Volunteer – Volunteer ushers are very important to the Coronado Performing Arts Center. Ushers are our ambassadors for the theatre and the first contact with our patrons. Land of Lincoln Theatre Organ Society Tours

Did you share a first date in the balcony of the Coronado?  Maybe even a first kiss?

Did you spend your Saturdays as a kid watching movies at the Coronado?

Have you been coming to the Coronado for years, but always wondered how it would feel to stand on stage?

Now's your chance to tour Rockford's Crown Jewel, the Coronado Theatre!

LOLTOS will offer Open Tours on the following Tuesdays during the 2008-2009 Season:

March 17, 2009

April 14, 2009

May 19, 2009

If you plan to attend, please call ahead to let us know you are coming - 815-968-2722, x17.  For the tour, please arrive at 6:45 p.m.  All tours begin promptly at 7 p.m. and no one will be admitted after 7:15 p.m.

Tours include:  The Grand Barton Theatre Organ played by a LOLTOS member, an atmospheric show, the organ chamber, Van Matre-Owner's Apartment circa 1927, Star and Chorus Dressing Rooms, Stage area, audience chamber and lobby areas.

Tours last one hour and 30 minutes and are $7 per person.  Please be prepared for a walking tour, including steps.

Group tours of 20 or more can be made by reservation only.  Group tour price is $5 per person with a minimum of $100.

*Following your tour, please stop and visit our Coronado Corner Gift Shop for souvenirs, gifts or a treat for yourself!

For group tours being conducted during the day, please consider enjoying delicious pre- or post tour boxed lunch in one of the Copronado's beautiful spaces.  The lunches will be provided by the Coronado's exclusive caterer, River District Catering.  Please call the Coronado at 815-968-2722, x17 or River District Catering at 815-964-8365, for details.
